I would like to start by telling you that it is impossible to get my two year old to sit through a story, and I am a preschool teacher with a bag full of tricks! Your books are so entertaing that he can sit through them over and over again, not to mention my 7 and 8 year old children like them also. It's nice to see such a great set of books and I am going to use them at my school. I, I mean my children, cannot wait to see more! LOL!

Hello,

My daughter just LOVES the Bing Bunny books.  I have to read the Swing/Getting Dressed/Night time ones about 10 times before she'll even consider sleeping.  I wanted to get her a Bing Bunny or Flops for her birthday.  Are they on sale somewhere?  Would you mind letting me know where I could buy one from.

Many thanks. Manuela

I live in Montreal and have 2 of your books.  Something for Daddy and Make Music.  You are a good writer and my sister who is 3 months old also enjoyed your books.

Thank you for your books. Miko and Mia

APRIL

8 April

My son Suley is a huge Bing fan, and I just wanted to send you a link to my blog post about Bing (I do the parenting column for Richmond Magazine).

Yesterday was PAINT DAY. And what a glorious Paint Day it was. Up until yesterday, The Boy had never finger-painted. He had painted with brushes and drawn with chalk and markers and crayons, but we had been unwilling to unleash the torrent of mess that is a 3-year-old finger painting. You know what, though? That’s what grandparents are for! My mother is providing some spring-break fun for my niece and nephew while my sister works, and she mentioned at Sunday dinner that The Boy was invited to join in said fun. Finger-paints were promised, and he was suitably excited, boy howdy was he excited! By the time Paint Day came, he was hysterical with glee.

Part of the appeal of Paint Day was, I think, the desire to be more like Bing Bunny. We were introduced to Bing Bunny by our good friends in Scribbletown, and he has had a long and benevolent stay on our storytime bookshelf. I’m not sure why Bing Bunny is not a bigger deal than he is, because there is everything to like about him, and I think that it is shameful that you can walk in any store and buy a million stupid Elmo dolls or Disney widgets or whatever the latest kid thing is that they’re foisting on everyone, but you have to make your own Bing and Flop dolls and shirts if you want them. And we want them. God, do we want them. Bing Bunny is a Glorious Hero of the Revolution in The Boy’s esteem.

Cheers, Anne

MAY

6 May

I have three children, the youngest 2 and the oldest 6.   I bought a few Bing books four years ago and I have been reading those eight books without a break.  It is quite a testament to the endearing qualities of Bing that I haven’t thrown them all out!  In fact, my youngest is standing by me right now howling “Read Bing books!  Read Bing books!” (she lugs them everywhere we go in an old black backpack).  Next week I have to figure out a way to make a Bing cake for her 2nd birthday.

I hope Amazon starts selling your whole line again.  I have often given them as 1st birthday or baby gifts.  It had become my old standby and I can’t tell you my irritation when I tried to order them two months ago and found out that they weren’t all available.  I actually had to leave the house and shop for a gift.

We hope you bring out a new Bing book soon!Best regards from a Bing-loving American family,

Dear Bing Bunny's Dad,

We "met" Bing Bunny probably about 2 years ago at our local library in Sydney. It was Paint Day, and it was an instant hit with my 18 months old son (and his parents).

It was a drama when we had to give the book back to the library, but Bing Bunny stayed with us for a couple of more weeks, as we borrowed all the titles that were available there. Then we left Sydney to move to Hong Kong, and then to the Philippines, and it was the end of Bing Bunny for us.

Our little daughter was born a couple of months ago, and when it was time to think about presents for her birthday, I knew exactly what she needed: the collection of Bing Bunny books. Though she's too young now to enjoy them, I am pretty sure she'll have a good time with Bing Bunny.

I had a look at a couple of bookstores here, but it looks like Bing Bunny hasn't reached Manila yet. My only solution: ordering them on amazon UK, to have them shipped to my office in France. One of my French colleagues would then bring them to my office in Hong Kong, where I would pick them up during one of my trips there. And it worked !!! It was a long long trip for Bing Bunny, but the books arrived safely at home. And we couldn't wait for Camille's first birthday before opening them. It was just too tempting.

I first read one to my now almost 4 year old little boy, thinking that it wouldn't be that interested into it. Mistake, big mistake. Not only did he love it, but he asked  for more and more and more. We're reading Bing Bunny books every day, again and again, just like the old good days in Sydney.

He's been going to school for the first time a couple of days ago (summer school), and asked me this morning "can we get "Bing Bunny goes to school" book?"...

Thanks a lot and congratulations for creating such lovely (and lively) characters and enjoyable stories.
And we hope, really hope, that new titles will be available soon (perhaps a "Bing Bunny goes to school"?)

Cheers, Murielle, Tony, Antoine & Camille

PS: Even our 8 year old neighbour has become a Bing Bunny fan!!!
