| In 1984, Helen had a job painting china animals in a factory. She agreed to illustrated a poem by a local poet in hopes that someone might publish it. Over the span of a whole year, in between her factory job and practicing piano in preparation for her music teacher's exam, she toiled over this peculiar project. In the end, nobody wanted to publish it, so the illustrations were stuck in a plan chest and have remained there ever since. They were briefly exhumed to scan onto the computer and then quickly returned to their hiding place. If you're willing to wait the 30 seconds or so for them to appear on this page, you might see the crude beginnings of a style. Everyone has to start somewhere.... | |||||
