WHAT DOES THE LOGO MEAN?
The Road-Witch Trial logo is a variation on the famous "droodle" (ie a cross between a doodle and a riddle), "Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Witch". The original is reproduced to the left. Of course, in the Road-Witch logo version, the ship is arriving too late to save a drowning road-witch, with its road-cone hat.

The original "witch" droodle was famous for years, and was appropriated by Frank Zappa on the cover of his album named after the droodle. I thought this droodle, along with the strap, "dont wait till its too late", would be a clever gag.

Alas, the droodle turns out to only be an American phenomenon, and few Brits had ever come across "Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Witch". even the clever worldly ones. So I got this one wrong. But I like it just the same and now I’m stuck with it.
