In the 20th century, magic is science, science appears to work like magic, and brooms are replaced with vacuum cleaners. In this version of the story of the Sorcerer's Apprentice, the apprentice is a robot, and a lazy one at that. Instead of doing the tidying up, he builds another robot just like himself to do his work for him.
