GOODNIGHT MOON
Clement Hurd (pictures), Margaret Wise Brown (words)
THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE BOOK. I read it every day until I was a year old. It is not Mummy's favourite book. I have eaten some of this book as you can see.
ROUND AND ROUND
THE GARDEN
Ian Beck (pictures)
This book is full of songs with hand wiggles like the ones from toddler music class. I like singing best at home with my Mummy and a lovely picture book like this one.

ROBERT CROWTHER'S POP UP ANIMAL ALPHABET
Robert Crowther (pictures), David Wood (words)
Open doors, pull flaps, push levers, the animals come. Doors and flaps have letters on them. Some I know, some I don't, who cares. I know all the animals and so do my friends. I have seen a lot of pop-ups and this has the best pops.

MY VERY FIRST MOTHER GOOSE
Rosemary Wells (pictures), edited by Iona Opie
This book has 74 Nursery Rhymes in it. I like the rabbits and cats and pigs. I like the bright colours and the way all the pages are different shapes. I like to read all of it every day. But when Mummy is busy it is always lost.

WHAT!
Adrian Johnson (pictures), Kate Lum(words)
Shout out and giggle book. So short, and clever, that Daddy doesn't need to miss out any words when he reads it to me. Grannies will like this book because there is one in it.

PICTURE BOOK
Ian Beck (pictures and words)
This book is full of all the things I know about and they look special and beautiful and big. I think I will like this book even when I am old. Mum and dad do too. So they don't let me chew it.

THE FOOT BOOK
Dr. Seuss (pictures and words)--BOARD BOOK
I stop screaming during nappy changes when I have this book in front of me.

SERGEANT HIPPO'S BUSY WEEK
Wong Herbert Yee (pictures + words)--BOARD BOOK
Lots of things I know, like cars and animals. When my grandma reads it to me, she says that Hippo should really have filed the police report before he went to court, not after.

TRUCK JAM
Paul Stickland (pictures + words)
Usually I am very good with my books. I never tear them. But this is so great I want to shake it. The trucks move and they tip. The engines explode. It is a pop up. Fun!

FIVE LITTLE DUCKS
Ian Beck (pictures + words)
This has lovely pictures and it's my favourite song. It is much more beautiful than the usual sort of gunk people think babies like. I like the mother duck saying "quack quack quack" and ending with all the ducks coming back.

COWS IN THE KITCHEN
Katharine McEwen (pictures)
June Crebbin (words)
Another song book. Big, big pictures with lots of animals and noises. Very big book. Sometimes hard to open if I sit on it at the same time. I like the sheep on the sofa.

WHIFF, OR HOW THE BEAUTIFUL BIG FAT SMELLY BABY FOUND A FRIEND
Russell Ayto (pictures), Ian Whybrow (words)
I like someone to tickle me when the book says "quickly tickley flies". I like the funny animal pictures. It is nice to know that it is OK to be smelly.
